Service and maintenance programs for your newly tiled remodel project

Depending on the type of stone, tile and grout selected for your remodel project, routine maintenance may be recommended over time. Many contractors, architects and designers do not discuss and inform clients about the impact of on-going maintenance when selecting products Emerald Isle Tile will discuss all tile and grout options with an emphasis on routine maintenance. This ensures that the client is informed upfront on what maintenance may be required for the product selected. Some stone and grout products require considerable more maintenance than others. We can help you re-select products with little or no maintenance if this is an important factor in your remodel project. 

Cleaning and sealing inside the home.

Wet areas like showers, tub surrounds, and vanities should be professionally seviced and sealed annually. Natural stone slab and tiled countertops should also be lightly cleaned with a non-acidic cleaner and sealed annually. All caulking should be inspected annually and replaced as needed.

Servicing the outside decks and patios.

Drastic climatic changes from summer to winter in the Pacific Northwest can cause expansion and contraction on tile and grout materials. This in turn may cause cracking of the grout and absorption of moisture through the tile and grout. We strongly recommend that we return annually to inspect, service and seal outside tiled decks and patios.
