Complete Basement Remodel & Systems Upgrade

This project involved a full basement remodel in a Magnolia-area home situated atop a steep hillside. Due to the home’s location, the basement was fully enclosed by concrete foundation walls, requiring thoughtful structural and mechanical planning.

We framed new 2x4 interior walls along the exterior foundation to allow for updated plumbing and electrical runs, while significantly improving insulation and energy efficiency. Concrete trenching was completed in the slab to accommodate new plumbing for a newly added master bathroom. Additional work included installing a screed over the basement slab, building a new stair structure with updated railing, and completing all new drywall, painting, and interior and exterior doors.

To improve comfort year-round, a mini-split HVAC system was installed to serve both the basement and the rest of the home.
