Ballard Project (Wendy Miller)

This was a traditional craftsman home in the Ballard area of Seattle.

We remodeled an old bathroom, keeping some of the existing features with an updated twist, and some brand new features. Main scope of work and some highlighted features include the following:
  • Removed wall at end of existing shower; in order to make new shower twice the size of the original.
  • New shower had bench and inbuilt niche.
  • We kept the existing lower and upper vanity cabinet, we custom made new doors with glass panels. We then painted the new cabinets a fun “blue” to give the room a “pop” color.
  • The existing tub remained; we changed out the tub fixtures, built a tiled inbuilt niche on back wall, within the tiled tub backsplash.
  • On the end wall of the tub, we framed into the crawl space a inbuilt cubby/towel rack, with heavy duty removable glass panel.
  • 3”x6” white subway tiles on the shower walls and continues as wainscoting around entire room, and to include vanity and tub splash.
  • 6”x36” porcelain floor tiles, in a random pattern, to somewhat mimic a wood plank floor.
